FortiFone can be useful for remote work with an iPhone extension, but the reviews show persistent reliability problems. Recurrent call failures, silent or dropped audio, and push-notification issues degrade experience, often worsened by app updates. Setup friction and limited user controls contribute to the frustration. When it does work, it’s a solid mobile soft-phone; however, consistency and support appear to be major barriers.

Repeated inbound/outbound calling failures and incoming calls not ringing; users often must retry or reinstall.

Setup and compatibility headaches (extra steps to enable calls, FortiVoice/FortiGate integration issues, reliability concerns).
Lack of user-level controls like scheduling DND; difficult for hourly staff to use reliably.

Recent reviews

I’ve been trying to get this app to work for at least 10 years. It doesn’t. Guys, stop trying to claim you’ve made an iOS soft phone for fortivoice that works from a mobile network or 3rd party ip network, because you haven’t. And I dare say, I doubt you ever will.
