Pros

Clear grammar explanations with structured progression from beginner to advanced (A1–C3).
Strong kana training - hiragana and katakana taught quickly with good audio examples.
Beautiful, simple, user-friendly design that’s easy to navigate.
Speaking/pronunciation features help validate your pronunciation (voice checks).
Lifetime/Plus subscription is worth it and offers good value.

Cons

Paywall and monetization gating: free access is limited and payments are often required just to proceed.
Some features (e.g., explain my answer) are locked behind higher tiers or Platinum, pushing upgrades.
Depth and pacing can be inconsistent or shallow (topics appear too quickly, with insufficient review).

This app will not keep track of your streaks and will break them randomly. I’ve had this happen three times now. The first time was because I used my iPad instead of my phone, the second time it just randomly broke the streak and sadly the third time, same thing. It’s too big for what I paid for it and for some reason they aren’t fixing it.
