User Reviews

The majority of reviews describe Stream2 as highly unreliable. Users report frequent playback failures, freezing, and 'playback not available' errors across iOS, Apple TV, and campus networks. Many cite compatibility problems and lack of updates, with the app not loading or crashing. Live streams are particularly problematic, with glitches at the top of the hour and channels failing (e.g., TNT). Sign-in and campus-authentication issues further hinder access, as do audio problems and a clunky UI. A few reviewers note features like recording shows and a large channel lineup, but these are isolated positives in an otherwise negative picture.
Pros
  • Recording capability for TV shows
  • Large channel lineup
  • Occasional functionality when the app loads
Cons
  • Frequent playback failures and freezing across devices with playback not available errors
  • Outdated or incompatible app with no noticeable updates; many users cannot load the app on iOS devices
  • Live streaming glitches and unreliable channel availability (top-of-hour glitches; TNT not working)
  • Sign-in and campus-network authentication problems
  • Audio issues (no sound or audio lag) and poor UI/navigation

Only works about 20 percent of the time. Not companionable with most TVs. Some time the audio just completely doesn’t work and often will say “playback not available” which happens on multiple devices.

Worst app ever. It’s 2024 you think they would fix issues they’ve been hearing for years but no. It is not compatible with any device, our devices at this point are too high with our iOS softwares it just can’t compute - is my guess. It never loads, and on the random chance it does it always freeze. The worst app I’ve ever encountered

App works usually. However in 2024 the app should be able to tell you what season a given episode is from, and should support Picture in Picture mode. These two reasons are why I avoid this app unless it’s the only place to watch something.
