The tinnitus frequency tuner is free to use. Creating, downloading, and listening to personalized sound therapy requires an account with active paid access. Existing AudioNotch customers can sign in with their account.

HOW IT WORKS

Match the pitch of your tinnitus with the tuner, then choose a sound. AudioNotch removes a band of sound around your matched frequency to create your personalized notched sound therapy.

To use your own music, prepare it on audionotch.com using a desktop computer, then sync and listen in the app.

ABOUT THE CLINICAL STUDY

Patients assigned to receive free access to AudioNotch had a greater reduction in Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) scores than the standard-care group: an adjusted difference of 10.02 points. At six weeks, 70% of the AudioNotch group were using notched sound therapy, compared with 32% of the standard-care group.

Therapy use was not significantly associated with changes in THI. The researchers noted that perceived support, empowerment, and accountability may help explain the improvement. Individual results vary.
