City of Auburn Indiana

I recently downloaded the City of Auburn App after noticing a Facebook post announcing updates and a relaunch of the application. Excited to explore the new features, I opened the app, only to find it lacking a straightforward option to create an account or sign in directly from the home screen. Curious, I navigated to the "Pay Bill" section, where I was finally presented with the option to create an account or log in. However, in order to set up an account, I quickly realized I needed my utility bill account number, which can be found on the physical bill itself. To complicate matters, the app also required a Personal Identification Number (PIN), which is supposedly also printed on the bill, but I struggled to locate it anywhere. To obtain the PIN, I was left with no other choice but to contact the utility office—either by phone or via email—while I waited for assistance. This entire process felt frustratingly cumbersome. The app's initial accessibility was disappointing, transforming what should have been a convenient tool into a tedious hassle. Overall, my experience so far has not been positive, and I find the app's usability lacking.

A good source for local info. I was a big fan of the recycle/trash reminder notifications that popped up under my iPhone notifications tab. However those stopped working a few months back??? Not sure if it’s no longer compatible with the latest iOS update or what? Looks like the app hasn’t been updated in quite sometime as well. I realize this is a small town thing so I’m not expecting weekly updates but it could use more frequent bug fixes.
