Everything can be configured inside the app. The app is preconfigured with a demo configuration so that you experience the simplicity directly after the install. (Tip: use two devices to see and feel the speed of the app.) Optionally, JSON formatted MQTT messages can be handled.

We designed smart interactive widgets (controls) so your IoT data will be presented nice and smooth.

Under the MQTT broker settings menu we have foreseen a list with public available MQTT brokers. We are not responsible for the availability of these brokers. If the default broker is not active, please select another one of the list or configure your own.

However, recurring issues include notch-related tap targets and general UI usability, limited data graphing for wildcard topics, unreliable MQTT connections, and JSON parsing problems with underscores, plus a lack of documentation. These common complaints limit overall satisfaction despite the strong core features.

Pros

Clean-looking widgets that clearly display data
Works well with MQTT to view temperature data
Good broker compatibility (e.g., Ubuntu Mosquitto)
Suitable for embedded development / avoids custom UI (mostly great)

Cons

Notch/top-area UI issues with hit targets on iPhone X and later (including XR) and overall small tap targets
UI is frustrating/hard to configure; lacks documentation and Apple convention adherence
JSON parsing fails for keys with underscores (e.g., DS_18B20.Temperature)
Wildcard_data on graphs only shows the last point; cannot display multiple metrics
MQTT connection can be unstable / flaky (status blinking, intermittent connectivity)

Recent reviews

It took some effort on my part to get the code to compile for Arduino using MQTT. But can confirm this App works nicely using MQTT to see temperature data. The widgets are clean looking and clearly show the data.

Looks a lot of work went into it but the UI on a modern iPhone is very frustrating. I have been trying to configure it with a hivemq server and finally seems to be connecting but for the life of me I cannot configure widgets to my topics. The interface & buttons don’t seem to follow standard Apple conventions and can’t find documentation.
