User Reviews

Overall, users report solid core features (step and sleep tracking, wrist notifications) when the app is functioning, but Fossil Q Legacy is hampered by stability issues. The most common pain points are frequent connection drops and unreliable syncing, plus compatibility problems between the legacy and newer apps. Sign-in and login errors, plus occasional firmware/update-related disruptions, worsen the experience. Timekeeping and data accuracy are inconsistent, with some users not seeing data at all. A few users find relief by reinstalling, but reliability remains a major concern.
Pros
  • Basic activity tracking (steps and sleep) works for many users.
  • Notifies by text and phone calls (and calendar reminders) when configured, keeping users connected.
  • Legacy Fossil Q Legacy app is easy to use.
  • On occasion, reinstalling and re-setting up the app improves stability and connection.
Cons
  • Frequent disconnections between the watch and the app, leading to unsynced data.
  • Compatibility issues between legacy and newer Fossil apps; switching between them can be confusing or fail.
  • Timekeeping is unreliable; the watch often shows the wrong time and requires manual correction.
  • Login/sign-up and network errors block access to the app.
  • Data gaps: steps and sleep are not consistently recorded or shown.

Is this app still active? It’s continuously showing connection error and won’t let me log in or sign up? Do we still use this for Fossil Q or the newer app?

I loved my watch when I first purchased it. Then it began to lose twenty minutes. I could never get it synced. I finally got a newer fossil watch but it also was hard to sync. I decided to try again and bought another new battery today. It won’t go to the correct time . The hands don’t move with the arrows. My contacts won’t come up to pair with notifications: only other apps are available to pair. I’m really sorry I tried and will not buy another fossil hybrid!
