User Reviews

Users praise the app for its simple, organized interface, strong chapter/scene organization, and solid export options with Dropbox-based cross-device syncing. However, many reviews highlight serious downsides: risk of data loss and unreliable backups, confusing usability, unclear export/delete workflows, price/value concerns, and weaker feature parity with the desktop version.
Pros
  • Simple, organized writing interface that keeps all notes in one place.
  • Strong chapter/scene organization that helps structure the novel.
  • Dropbox/cloud syncing across devices enabling on-the-go writing.
  • Ability to export to multiple formats for publication.
  • Accessible on iOS and cross-platform support for quick inspiration and writing.
Cons
  • Risk of data loss: the app can delete your work or lose progress if you close before saving.
  • Reliability/backups issues with Dropbox: failed saves and overwritten files leading to lost progress.
  • Usability/learning curve: confusing UI and a lack of clear guidance on exporting/deleting projects.
  • Price/value concerns: perceived overpriced and inconsistent pricing relative to expectations.
  • Limited feature parity with the desktop version: fewer features and an overall inferior experience compared to desktop.

I learned about the snowflake method and found the PC software years ago. I use other apps/software but this method works for my ADHD. So I’m glad its finally in the App Store. Its simple, organized and can export into any format to be published. It’s a perfect simple app for writing, if you use this method.

I thought this program was going to have some features to help me write my novel. It's only feature I'd that it orders the chapters and scenes in the right order for you. Other programs do that for free. And it's suspicious to me that the only reviews available are for at least three or more years ago --what's that about in short, don't waste your money! And some of the reviews it says the cost is $4.99, but it's $14.99.
