Features & Capabilities

Daily Shopping Stories invites kids ages 3–10 into a colorful, animated shopping center where they can create stories, experiment with hundreds of objects, and explore 16 spaces and 7 shops. With 13 characters of different ages and occupations, children can customize hairstyles, outfits, and accessories while learning language skills and developing creativity through safe, open-ended play.

The game is safe, ad-free, and family-friendly from PlayToddlers. It offers a single lifetime purchase to unlock all shops and characters, and there are no violence or third-party ads. The free version provides a taste with two shops and outdoor spaces, inviting kids to imagine millions of stories.

User Reviews

Users enjoy the game’s charm, adorable characters, and relaxing, family-friendly vibe. However, frequent complaints focus on monetization: most content is behind paywalls, with only a few free options, and changes from a once-free model. Additional negatives include lag and limited customization/content for free users.
Pros
  • Fun and engaging gameplay
  • Adorable, likable characters
  • Family-friendly and peaceful experience for kids
  • Charming art/style and overall appeal
Cons
  • Pay-to-play monetization with many features requiring payment
  • Very limited free content; only a few shops are accessible for free
  • Content and areas locked behind full version/paywall (e.g., hair salon) and changes from a free model over time
  • Lag/technical issues affecting gameplay
  • Missing basic customization options for kids (e.g., clothing) or limited free items

So first I loved this game then I try went to the grocery store And it told me to pay like they just want people Money like a toddler play and ask there mom and they say NO Not ok I HATE this game worse game EVER

It’s a horrible game people have to pay just to play it. You know that is kind of mean because like toddlers are like wanting these games and they have to pay on their iPad and what if they ask their parents if they say no you’re gonna cry what their parents are not gonna get it because don’t you think the parents are like oh that’s gonna be a waste of money and either way when you grow up, you’re gonna delete the so it makes no sense for me to buy this for you yeah for me. If my mom buys me something on a game, I don’t delete the game cause that’s mean I will just take all the money and everything so instead make it a kids games instead of wasting peoples money and like not if you were doing it for charity, I would buy it but you’re not you’re just keeping it for yourself so it’s really selfish and I think you should make the app free because some people really want they have to pay for everything goes for all of the same brand Games like are you OK because kids are unhappy nowadays because they have to buy seven games like Toca Boca stuff have to buy stuff but they give you stuff for free once in a while like tomorrow they’re giving us new free furniture. Guess what? What are you guys doing? Nothing very bad. Kids don’t have it right to pay for. Do you expect like a four-year-old to have money like kids are crew crying out there because they have no money to buy these games so if you don’t make the games free kids gonna play Toca Boca Avatar World everything is different about those games a whole paragraph just because this is the worst game ever
