User Reviews

User reviews largely report stability and ad-management issues, with persistent or unremovable ads and frequent crashes/freezes that make the game unplayable. Many also cite nonfunctional core features and navigation problems. A smaller group nonetheless praises the Pocoyo brand, noting nostalgia and kid-friendly appeal, finding the IP fun and suitable for young fans. Overall, stability and ads management are the dominant negatives, while brand affinity remains a positive for some users.
Pros
  • Nostalgia and brand appeal for Pocoyo fans.
  • Kid-friendly and suitable for young children.
  • Entertaining and humorous content tied to the Pocoyo IP.
Cons
  • Ads are intrusive and don’t reliably disappear even when purchasing a no-ads option.
  • Frequent crashes, freezes, and unstable performance hinder play.
  • Core gameplay features often don’t function properly, making progression difficult or impossible.
  • Unresponsive UI and navigation issues (blue screens, nonfunctional buttons) further degrade the experience.
Recent reviews
First off, the app is easily breakable. There are many ways to break the app, such as when you tap the trampoline, and as soon as Pocoyo gets on it, you tap an icon on the UI (Such as the lunch button), you just broke the game with two taps of a finger. Secondly, there would be no reason to purchase anything at the shop. Like with any of the coin and gem purchases, there would be no purpose for buying that because of the amount of times it gives you plenty of coins to work the game. Because in like three days, you would be stashed with around 500 coins and 100 gems without buying any purchases. It’s even worse when you don’t even have to buy the no ads purchase when there are problems with that purchase in the first place. So I will give you a tutorial on how to get no ads without spending a penny in the digital shop of My Talking Pocoyo 2: 1: Turn off WiFi 2: Turn off Cellular 3: Access app 4: Enjoy the no ad experience! Thirdly, the parental lock on the shop is too easy to bypass. You know how in most mobile apps for kids, there is a parental lock on any attempt to purchase anything on the shop? You know, the ones that give you a kindergarten level math question like “8 - 5” or “4 + 11?” Welp, the app has those! And it was a horrible decision by the creator. So don’t be surprised when your 5 year old son randomly took money off your card to buy more coins to buy more food for Pocoyo. Finally, this might just be a minor gripe, but the sound effects that Pocoyo makes are absolutely annoying. With the one were he is hyperactive (the one were he rocks back and laughs), the ones were he smells himself and blurts out some annoying chant, and god forbid the one were he slouches on the floor and goes, “Hmpph!” Like Pocoyo’s happy meter is up to 100%, and he still acts bored.
