Features & Capabilities

Gladys is a drag-and-drop shelf that holds items you want to set aside—links, text snippets, map locations, contacts, images, emails, messages, and more. It works with any app that supports drag‑and‑drop and even provides an extension for apps that don’t yet support it, plus clipboard paste to capture items quickly; items remain accessible even if the original app is removed.

Search your collection with Spotlight, access top items from the home screen, Today widget, Apple Watch, and iMessage. Annotate items with notes, titles, and tags, then share and collaborate by inviting friends with optional edit access. Import, export, or merge collections by dragging, and use advanced options to inspect or extract data, download linked content, or archive pages. This extension ships with no analytics or prompts.

User Reviews

Gladys is highly praised for cross-device syncing across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and as a versatile memory shelf for saving links, pages, files, and images with quick search and sharing. Users report it’s indispensable to their workflow, sometimes replacing a laptop on iPad/mac usage and benefiting from updates and good support for a low price. Common drawbacks across reviews include stability issues (crashes and freezes), lack of folder-based organization, and tagging/search usability (accuracy and tag-limit frustrations). The icon design is often cited as unattractive. Overall, a strong, affordable productivity tool despite these nits.
Pros
  • Cross-device sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac with rock-solid reliability and a native ecosystem feel.
• Versatile memory shelf that saves links, pages, files and images with grouping and sharing options.
  • Significant productivity boost; often reduces the need to rely on a laptop, especially on iPad and Mac.
  • Great value and responsive support; low price (often cited as 99 cents) with quick assistance.
  • Search and tagging features enable fast organization and retrieval within the app (strong in-app search).
Cons
  • Crashes and freezes during use (e.g., startup or copy operations).
  • Lack of folder-based organization; users want folders or nested folders.
  • Tagging/search UX needs improvement (accuracy of the keyboard search extension and limited recent tags).
  • Ugly app icon and some UI polish concerns.

I'm a dev. I know clipboard management, db juggling, caches, tmp~, etc. (no pun)...Which is why I'm so glad Gladys exists. A gem as fundamental as hydrogen.

The more devices you have, the more indispensable this app becomes. I love it.
