Chef Wars is a depth-rich, charming cooking RPG with an extensive recipe system, endearing art and story, and strong replay value. It shines offline and with light monetization, but is hampered by long-standing connectivity and sync problems, data loss risks, and a lack of updates. Gem-related bugs and occasional crashes further frustrate players, making the game great when working but challenging to rely on in its aging state.

Persistent connectivity and account sync problems; online servers unreliable and sign-in fails, blocking progress.
Appears abandoned with no updates for years and unresolved bugs; crashes make progress frustrating.
Data loss and save issues, including local saves getting lost or not recoverable across devices or deletions.
Gemming and progression bugs, such as gems not being credited or spending problems; progression gated behind gems.

Its so special, but like others have said, it won't connect to internet to save the gameplay progress. Which can be heartbreaking with the cozy enjoyment it brings, if it glitches. Which is why i've deleted it here & there, but ALWAYS come back, because it truly is such a work of art. Genius, honestly. Please develop some more structures, strengthening its connection & data storing. What more analytics terms i don't know the name of~ but you all would know. 🩷🩷 & i'm willing to even pay for support !! Beautiful game.

This is one of the best food/cooking games I’ve played. Unfortunately the developers abandoned it. You can earn gems offline but you can’t spend them - so no extra recipe slots or 3rd traits :( But if you want to play on super hard mode, you’ll learn so much about regional cuisine and geography.
