The hardware is good, but the app needs serious attention. We regularly experience disconnects that require us to reconnect the system. The Home, Away, and Vacation triggers are unreliable. The Usage Tracking feature also doesn’t report any usage at all. We brought this issue to the support team and were told it’s a known problem, but it’s frustrating to see known bugs remain unresolved. Scheduling is another major issue. When we set schedules for each thermostat, some of them will randomly disappear, meaning we have to go back and recreate them. We use Mysa with our mini-split systems at an Airbnb, and when everything stays connected, the hardware works pretty well. Unfortunately, the app’s reliability makes it difficult to trust the system, especially when we’re relying on it to manage a property remotely. We also find the controls somewhat confusing for guests. Mysa developers, please take these issues seriously and fix the reliability problems. The hardware is capable, but the app is holding the whole system back. A smart thermostat is only as smart as the software controlling it.
