TWO MILESTONE LEVELS Give Set 1 and Set 2 a size and Tap Counter tracks both at once — say a chime every 33 and a louder one every 100. For each set you see its size, how many are left, and how many you've completed. Set 1 can reset automatically when Set 2 finishes.

COUNT BY EAR Add a click on every tap, a gong at each milestone and a vibrate when a set completes, so you can keep counting without looking down. Or have the number spoken aloud — at Set 1, at Set 2, or on every count.

TIMERS A count-up timer runs alongside your count, and you can add a countdown with an alarm for timed sessions.

PRESETS AND HISTORY Save your favourite set-and-timer combinations as presets and switch between them in a tap. Every session is kept in your history, where you can resume it, rename it, edit it, or clear the lot in one go.

Personal trainers can use this to monitor sets of exercises. Certain numbers of repetitions of each exercise can be timed so an alert is given when a timer has expired. Using the speech feature and a bluetooth speaker, trainers can use this when taking a class so each count is read out and alerts sounded when milestone counts are reached.

There are certain types of meditation where phrases are repeated either silently or out loud. Tap Counter Pro is perfect for this. When a certain number of repetitions have been made an alert will sound. Frequently used combinations can be saved and the title can be set to be the phrase to be repeated.
