Features & Capabilities

TimeSignal Alarm Clock is a Chrome extension that wakes you with loud sounds and time chimes you can’t ignore. It repeats elapsed time every minute, signals on the hour and every five minutes, and uses a picture-matching game to stop the alarm. You can adjust the difficulty, use a one-button stop option, and save up to eight alarm settings for quick access.

Notes: The alarm relies on your device’s notification settings and voice. It may not sound if notifications are disabled or the device is in silent mode. The alarm runs up to 30 minutes and requires completing the picture-match task to stop, making it a reliable wake-up aid for Chrome.

User Reviews

TimeSignal Alarm Clock yields mixed reviews. Many users report it can wake you up, and some say it meets a long-standing need. However, reliability and UX issues dominate: several users experience no sound, others detest the emoji-based dismissal, and UI quirks/portability problems (inconsistent controls and off-center layouts) undermine usability.
Pros
  • Wakes you up effectively when the alarm functions correctly.
  • Fulfills a long-standing need for a strong wake-up alarm (some users say it's what they needed).
  • Some users tolerate or even like the wake-up approach because it reliably wakes them.
Cons
  • No audible alarm sound reported by multiple reviewers.
  • Emoji-based dismissal required to stop the alarm, which many find frustrating and unhelpful.
  • Inconsistent UI/UX and device-specific layout issues (buttons appearing/disappearing; off-center screen on newer iPhones).
Recent reviews
I tested TimeSignal Alarm Clock hoping to find an alarm that would wake me up effectively, without music, and especially without causing stress. I have a heavy sleep, so I need a voice that is loud, clear, and natural—ideally in French, but I understand the app is only available on the US store. What I Need: • An alarm that wakes me up reliably, without stressful or aggressive sounds. • A natural, strong voice that repeats the time until I get up. • A French-speaking option would be perfect, but at least a pleasant voice. My Experience • The voice used by the app is robotic, unnatural, and only available in English. It feels impersonal and even a bit stressful first thing in the morning. • The alarm includes extra sound effects (like motorcycles, glass breaking, etc.) that are jarring and not helpful for a calm wake-up. • The interface is inconsistent: sometimes the buttons appear, sometimes they disappear, which makes the app confusing to use. • Setting the exact alarm time is tricky—if you go past the time you want, there’s no easy way to go back. • To stop the alarm, you have to play a mini-game with emojis, which is not what I want when I just need to wake up efficiently. What Would Make It Better • A natural, human voice (not robotic), ideally with a French option. • Clear, simple interface with reliable buttons. • No extra stressful sounds—just a voice announcing the time loudly and clearly, repeating as needed. • Easy alarm setting, with the ability to adjust the time up or down. Conclusion: If you want an alarm that wakes you up gently but firmly, with a natural voice and no unnecessary stress, this app is not the best choice. The robotic voice, stressful sound effects, and confusing interface make it hard to recommend, especially for French speakers or anyone sensitive to harsh sounds. I hope future updates will offer a choice of natural, human voices and a more user-friendly experience.

What good is an alarm clock that will not shut off even after matching the emojis??? I would definitely not recommend purchasing this app before this issue is addressed and solved!

On my iPhone 15 Pro, the screen is off center. And too large.
