I have been a premium subscriber for years. This app has major problems: 1. The Japan Times app uses a massive amount of data. 2. The Japan Times app shares your data with over 150 different domains. Your data is being widely shared, in other words. Check out the App Privacy Report under Settings for details. As a result, other apps keep showing me ads related to articles that I read in the Japan Times app. 3. The app often doesn’t recognize that you have a premium subscription, so you can’t read the full article anyway.

I am incapable of signing in because any time I try it says that I have to fill out the Captcha, but when I scroll down to do so, it just says “Please upgrade to a supported browser to get a reCAPTCHA challenge” and when i sign in with google it redirects me to the browser and then signs in there and when I go back into the app I’m still signed out, this is extremely annoying.
