User Reviews

Players largely praise Word Sauce as a fun, brain-boosting word puzzle, but recurring issues overshadow the experience: intrusive ads and unreliable monetization, failed purchases or subscriptions, a disruptive UI redesign, and occasional performance bugs that hinder gameplay. When functioning smoothly, it’s a solid brain workout with a relaxing vibe.

Pros

Fun, engaging word puzzle that's relaxing and mentally stimulating
Challenging levels provide a satisfying brain workout
Entertaining and a good time killer when not bogged down by issues
Many players enjoy the game and keep returning when it works

Cons

Persistent ads and monetization; paying to remove ads often fails to remove ads
In-app purchases and coins sometimes don’t download or are not delivered
Updates/ redesigns degrade UI/UX, making navigation cluttered and hard to access the word game
Performance bugs (loading promos, freezing) and features like mandatory subscriptions to play

AND it’s still being advertised on the app. Additionally, why change the worth of ads and completions? Sadly the game is not improved.

FYI: I enjoy the game itself but paid the $1.99 to get rid of the price icon and the icon is still there asking you to pay and you still have ads. No reason to pay if they aren’t going to go away. Save yourself the money.
