In 1981, the first La Bou store opened its doors.  It was an astounding success. Each day hundreds of eager customers would line up, sometimes even in the rain, for a chance to purchase owner Trong Nguyen's handmade croissants. Since those early days, La Bou Bakery Cafe has expanded to company-owned stores and franchised units all serving delectable croissants and strong, aromatic espresso drinks, in addition to pastries, soups, salads and sandwiches. In 1990, La Bou joined forces with Capricorn Coffees, a notable and respected San Francisco roaster and purveyor to restaurants and retail outlets throughout the country for over 45 years.

Our exciting food service businesses, all under the corporate name of World of Good Tastes, have a common goal of creating fresh, high quality products and providing exceptional customer service. It is this mission that keeps us constantly looking for new ideas to keep our business fresh and competitive and our customers happy.
