Overview

Features & Capabilities

Files is a cross-device file manager that brings your documents together—from your device, cloud storage like iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Box, and OneDrive, to external drives or file servers. The Recents view shows your recently worked-on files in high-resolution thumbnails, while the Browse view helps you navigate folders, tag files, move between folders, and search quickly.

Key features include quick access from the Dock or Home screen, SMB server connections for work or home networks, tagging across services, pinned folders for fast access, and shareable links from iCloud Drive. Drag and drop to organize files with ease across providers.

I don’t know if there is a simpler way to download documents on an iPhone, but seesh this app is an absolute nightmare to navigate. The search function never works, the “recents” tab also doesn’t work. I struggle so much to just understand where I am in the app and it’s just so not user friendly.

This app is so bad you wonder if anyone at Apple uses it.
