User Reviews

Most reviews are negative due to a recent update that degraded usability. Users complain about limited store visibility (only two nearby stores), difficult location changes, slow performance, and questionable value of the paid tier. Many feel the app’s core inventory/deal-search features have been lost or become unreliable. A minority still finds value for work or nostalgia, but overall BrickSeek is seen as having diminished usefulness compared with its past strength.
Pros
  • Historically a top-tier inventory/price data tool across stores
  • Some users still find value and are willing to pay for membership (e.g., low-tier subscriptions)
  • The app’s core idea—checking local store inventory and deals across stores—remains appealing to deal hunters
Cons
  • Major update ruined usability and removed or degraded core features, making the app far less functional
  • Location/search limitations: only two local stores are shown and switching regions/zip codes is cumbersome or restricted
  • Slow performance: map loading and searches often take a long time
  • Paid membership not worth it: inventory data quality and usefulness diminished, with users feeling they don’t get value for the price
  • Poor UI/UX and navigation: some buttons don’t work, the interface is confusing, and essential functions are hard to access

This app is mediocre at best and garbage in reality. But really it’s not something you want cluttering your phone memory and your home screen. There’s nothing special about it. It just gives you some sales but nothing all that that can justify downloading.

Deal soldier has unfortunately passed y’all up. Especially with local deals . I hope y’all jump back in there I used to love brickseek . Gotta cancel membership cause it’s useless.

You used to be able to have the option to change the zip code to be able to see other stores in the area. We have over 20 Walmart stores in my area and it limits you to just 2. I tried to attempt it with the website to just check the inventory and it just continues to drag you to the app.
