User Reviews

User reviews are mixed. Many users find the app easy to set up and usable across devices, and some report timely alerts on supported platforms. However, persistent issues with notifications, missing alert maps, and an outdated/undermaintained app degrade reliability. Privacy concerns and changes from the prior system (Nixle) add to dissatisfaction, as do friction with authentication and incomplete service-request options. Overall, reliability and feature parity with prior solutions are the main sticking points.
Pros
  • Easy to set up and use.
  • Works across devices (e.g., personal and work phones) and can provide alerts when functioning.
  • Some users report timely notifications on supported devices (e.g., iPhone).
Cons
  • Notifications are inconsistent or not delivered on several devices, with users reporting missing alerts, delays, or requiring reinstall.
  • Alerts lack a map or location visualization, making it hard to gauge impact.
  • The app appears outdated or poorly maintained, with long gaps between updates and a perceived decline after replacing prior systems (e.g., Nixle).
  • Privacy concerns about data collection and potential data mining when using the app.
  • Key features feel incomplete or hard to use (no Face ID/authentication convenience; service-request feature may not work for some issues).
Recent reviews
Tried to send service request for a water leak but none matched. It was for water bubbling up from the ground indicating a broken pipe. Please add Face ID support. When I try to make a service request, it’s annoying to have to enter my credentials.

What good is an alert if a map of the alert location is not included? All traffic, road closures and detours should include a map of the affected area.

I didn’t think anyone could be so ignorant as to destroy one of the best informational apps for a city, but apparently there is. Alerts are gone. In their place is information on garbage pickup and driver licensing locations. Are you kidding? There are other venues for that information. But get this: they have another site that wants ALL (and I mean ALL) of your personal information so they can somehow send you alerts. Not only is this data mining at its worst, there is no possible way it can be as timely and informative in an email as on the app with notifications! My recommendation is DO NOT give them your personal information for a seriously inferior product. Your personal info will only end up overseas at some point… Let us hope the local news will make up for the ignorance of the person that made this decision.
