User Reviews

RecallCue earns praise for remote family communication through reminders, messages, photos, and video calls on an elder’s device, with particular usefulness for dementia care and long-distance caregiving. The app supports check-ins, daily schedules, and large display of time and date, which many users find invaluable. However, reviews repeatedly flag high subscription costs, disruptive frequent updates, and limited support access. Reliability concerns—such as alarms not triggering or motion features failing and occasional glitches—surface as well. Overall, it’s a powerful caregiving tool when it works, but ongoing maintenance and support hurdles are common.
Pros
  • Keeps family connected with reminders and video calls for elderly loved ones, even from afar.
  • Allows posting reminders, messages, and photos on the elder's iPad to manage daily schedules.
Cons
  • Subscription pricing is high and appears required for key features, making it expensive.
  • Frequent app updates disrupt use and often require on-device changes to keep things working.
  • Limited or hard-to-reach customer support, with no easy way to contact or slow responses.

Your system is a lifesaver! My dad adores it, I love it, it’s genuinely fantastic – thanks!

This app was phenomenal when we first got it. It did the minimal thing we needed most - let us post daily reminders to our senior parent from our phone to her iPad. Now it requires a subscription to share anything at all - and it’s not a cheap subscription at that. Deleting.
