Tokaido on iOS is a visually stunning, relaxing adaptation of the board game with solid offline/solo play. However, online multiplayer is repeatedly problematic due to crashes and connectivity issues, and various in-game bugs disrupt gameplay. It’s a great game! But there are a couple of bugs. I tried to do online play and play with one of my friends, but it kept crashing. I also can’t figure out how to make an online account to get an achievement. That brings us to the next topic: achievements. There are a couple of easy ones, but one of them is literally to be the best player in the world. WHY?! Other than that’s the bots almost always just go the spot in front of you. Also what’s the puppet for on pass and play. There’s always just a puppet and a player has to move him and that means there’s always an extra player. Other than that, it’s amazing.
