Heroic Battle offers an intuitive UI, solid gameplay, local multiplayer, and nostalgia for Stratego through board-like layouts and customization. However, online play is frequently unstable with few players, disconnections and cheating skew rankings, and purchases restoration often fails. Updates have introduced performance issues and crashes, and several stability bugs persist. The core strategy experience is good, but the online ecosystem and update reliability need major improvements.

Excellent game. Now up'ing my review to 5 stars. If you want to contact the developer, you need to "report an issue" even if you have no issue to report. Suggestion re memory aids, also mark which pieces have moved, and are therefore not bombs.

Neat idea for a game. Kind of a cross between chess and Memory. But very few players play and the few that do all disconnect from the app when they know they will lose. “Top rated” player Victorious is the absolute worst at this. No idea why the app doesn’t have a way to prevent this. In its current state there is no reason to play this game.
