USC Gateway for Mobile

As an alum, I'm honestly stunned. USC's main app is still a browser wrapper in 2026 — no native experience, no meaningful updates in roughly eight years, and it shows the moment you open it. Pages load like a mobile site from 2018, navigation is clunky, and basic things you'd expect from any modern institution simply aren't there. This isn't a resource problem; USC has one of the largest endowments in the country and sits in the middle of one of the most tech-dense cities on the planet. It's a leadership and prioritization problem. When a university markets itself as forward-thinking and innovative, the digital front door is part of the brand — and right now that door signals neglect. Alumni, students, and prospective families all interact with this thing, and every one of them walks away with the same impression: nobody at the top is paying attention to technology. Fix it.

This is just a browser in an app. No need for this trash which can barely do it’s intended purpose. With all the students at USC you would think they could get a few workstudy students in CS to make something worth while.
