User Reviews

Reviewers largely agree the app fails to deliver on its core promise: accessing Ravelry patterns within the app. Most users report you must pay to see patterns, with only a limited view of favorites/photos and no pattern access. The app seems outdated, with no updates in years, and has billing issues including auto-renewals and restore problems. Overall, the product is perceived as poor value compared to using Ravelry in a browser, leading many to seek alternatives or refunds.
Pros
Cons
  • Cannot view or access Ravelry patterns in the app without paying for in-app access.
  • Very limited functionality: you can only see favorites or photos; no search, no library, no notebook, and cannot reach patterns.
  • App appears outdated, with no updates in about two years.
  • Billing issues: auto-renew charges and difficulty restoring purchases or refunds; some users describe bait-and-switch behavior.
  • Poor value compared to using Ravelry in a web browser, which is free.

I did the same thing as the last reviewer and assume that when I paid for the premium that I was going to be able to browse patterns on here rather than trying to use them through my tiny Safari app on my phone. My mistake. Yeah I have to favorite stuff on the website to actually see it in the app so it really doesn’t fit my actual needs.

Really wish I had read the reviews first to find out I couldn’t even actually access the patterns on the app which was the whole reason why I wanted to download in the first place. Thought I had to pay money for that feature so I did... uhhh 😅 thanks for nothing then! This app is literally useless. There’s no reason to view favourites in an app without being able to then access the pattern.

I’m confused how this has a 4 star rating when all I’ve seen are mostly 1 star in the reviews. First, this app hasn’t been updated for 2 years. Second, Ravelry functions nicely in Safari and it is free. If this app seemed to function properly and smoothly, I’d consider paying a one time fee but a monthly or yearly fee for this service that is free in your browser, this just seems like a rip off.
