Update: 2026.05.02- Still no improvements to using Start.me with new iPhones. I’ve begun pulling out saved bookmarks from start.me and saving them within Firefox and Vivaldi a Chrome browser. Hello hello helloAs of 2025, Apple no longer wants us to use chrome based browsers. I don’t and will not use safari as it doesn’t suit my needs, nor is it as safe as either Firefox and Vivaldi, nor do I like being forced into using particular apps just to have full functionality with my phone. After 33 years as a dedicated Apple user I have begun migrating to Linux, and will do as many of my friends and family have already done this past year which is trading in or cease purchasing iPhones altogether and leaving the high security barbed wire fenced in prison yard Apple ecosystem. I don’t need a company dictating how I can utilize devices I pay good money for just to suit their bottom lines. One of which is intentionally making it difficult for third party developers to create apps for Apple products. Today’s Apple is by far not the same company it was prior to Steve Jobs passing in 2011. ——As of August 2025 Start.me can no longer save websites regardless of whichever browser one uses. Apple devices do not play well with third party software and it’s grown worse over years. I suspect that this more to do with Apple than Start.me as this is a recent problem. What once was the so called walled in garden has become a fenced in high security prison yard complete with turreted armed guards and electrified barbed wire barricades. I wish I never bought the iPhone 16.
