Cluesheet Companion offers a promising concept to enable local multiplayer with Clue, but has persistent issues: local play often fails to connect, passcodes are frequently invalid, glitches and crashes occur, Switch compatibility is poor, and some users seek refunds. Overall, the idea is strong, but reliability and platform compatibility need substantial fixes.

Pros

Very cool idea and concept for connecting players
Fun way to connect and play with friends and family
Great when it works and can be enjoyable in multiplayer sessions

Cons

Persistent local multiplayer issues: unable to host/join games, requires all players to install the companion app, and limited player counts
Frequent passcode/password problems: incorrect or invalid passcodes, or 'What is the passcode'
Frequent glitches, crashes, lag, and disconnections during games
Compatibility problems with Nintendo Switch: not compatible with newer Clue version and/or requires separate hardware; only works with classic edition
Value/refund concerns: users feel the product is a waste of money and request refunds

Another “local” app that no longer works after the developer stops supporting it. The main app is still available for purchase on the platform stores though. There needs to be more regulations for these devs to refund purchases for software that doesn’t work.
