Reviewers praise the graphics, voiceovers, and affordable price, plus useful UI features like the map and diary. Recurrent critiques focus on hop-heavy puzzles and a desire for greater challenge, with occasional dissatisfaction regarding bonus content. Overall, it offers a solid, enjoyable experience for fans of Artifex Mundi, with room for more depth and challenge.
Pros
  • Stunning graphics and production values with detailed art and animation.
  • Engaging storyline with strong voiceovers and professional presentation.
  • Smooth, generally glitch-free gameplay and responsive controls.
  • Great value at the introductory price / affordable compared to similar titles.
  • Helpful UI features like a transportable map and a diary, plus collectible-driven backstory.
Cons
  • Puzzles and minigames rely heavily on hidden-object puzzles (HOPs) with many word-list and silhouette challenges.

  • Bonus content feels like an afterthought at times; pacing of the bonus game can be lacking.

The game is somewhat good but it does have glitches when you get to a Minigame the instructions are the same for ever game from the very beginning having to do going through the mountains to reach the city no matter mini games you are playing that’s your instructions very poor mostly I just hit skip because I had no idea what I was supposed to do if I knew that was the case I would not have purchase the game I consider it a waste of money

Good game. Didn’t like achievements over game showed up too long. Bonus game seemed like an afterthought. Too many hops

Like many others, I first became acquainted with Artifex Mundi when Big Fish published their games. Those games surpassed in quality the majority of those in BF’s portfolio. Artifex Mundi has been independent for a couple years, and now they are publishing outstanding games from developers like Brave Giant Studios. These partnerships seem to be working out well, and Queen’s Quest 3 is no exception. The graphics, soundtrack, cut scenes, and storyline are professionally rendered. The quality control team must be hard at work, because I didn’t experience any glitches. That doesn’t mean there isn’t room for improvement. The minigames are generally easy, and I wish there were at least an option to select something more challenging. The clarity and fine detail of the graphics make the HOPs more fun to solve, not a frustrating time where I whack away at the screen just trying to move on. That said, there were far too many word list and silhouette HOPs, especially in the bonus game. There are 3 collectibles: 8 ghosts, 16 hats and 42 crests (one in each scene the main chapter). All of them provide back story when you obtain them. Unfortunately, if you miss them in the main game, there is no way to go back. I wish the teleporting map would have indicated the collectibles. In sum, the production values of the Queen’s Quest series are a cut above the typical offerings from Big Fish, but I prefer a game with more complexity. Thanks for the hard work, and keep them coming!
