Features & Capabilities

Pulsoid companion iOS app captures Heart Rate data from your chest belt monitor, armband, or Apple Watch (note: bracelets and other watches are not supported) using BLE technology and transmits it to the Pulsoid website which allows you to manage the widgets and more. That’s why you will need to have a compatible monitor (e.g. Polar H10, CooSpo H6) or an Apple Watch and a Pulsoid account to log in and use the app. The app integrates with the Apple Health app by reading heart rate info from Apple Watch

Steps:

  • find your monitor in the scanned BLE devices list
  • connect the monitor to capture heart rate data

User Reviews

Pulsoid is praised for reliable HR streaming, easy setup, strong Apple Watch support, and helpful customer service. It also offers a feature-rich free tier for streaming. The recurring downsides are compatibility and connectivity challenges with older devices/OS versions and stability issues like app closures or connection drops. When it works, it’s accurate and effective with external monitors, but device compatibility and reliability remain the main drawbacks.
Pros
  • Reliable heart-rate capture (5-second intervals) and streaming, with good accuracy when using external monitors.
  • Easy setup and strong Apple Watch integration, including updates that added watch support.
  • Excellent customer support with quick, respectful, and helpful responses (notably the CEO's support).
  • Generous free features and widgets, making it well-suited for streaming and customization.
  • Accurate HR data with external monitors (e.g., Polar H10) and overall dependable performance.
Cons
  • Compatibility and connectivity issues with older Apple Watch models and OS versions, including first-gen watches and iOS 13, causing download/connectivity problems.
  • Stability and connectivity problems such as watch-to-phone connection failures and occasional watch app closures.

I simply wanted an app to display HR from my Morpheus chest strap that I could read without reading glasses. This does exactly that. I wouldn’t complain about a larger HR display but this one works for my aging eyes
