User Reviews

Users praise the app's valuable Indigenous history resources and clean map design, plus the location feature, but repeatedly report critical instability. The app often loads endlessly or stalls on startup, with resources sometimes crashing the app or failing to load. Performance is slow even on capable devices. Content gaps (Mexico coverage, timelines, language families) and weak cross-platform support are commonly noted. Overall, the concept is valuable; execution needs fixes to make the information reliably accessible.
Pros
  • Resources tab/content is great and clearly presented.
  • Offers valuable information about Indigenous peoples and history.
  • Geolocation/current location feature is helpful for finding your place on the map.
  • Visually appealing map design.
  • Overall educational value and importance of learning about Indigenous cultures.
Cons
  • Loading issues: endless loading screens or never getting past the loading screen.
  • Resources tab or app crashing when accessing resources.
  • Severe performance issues and long loading times on capable devices.
  • Content gaps: does not cover Mexico and lacks depth compared to the website (e.g., language families, timelines).
  • Inconsistent reliability and limited support/contact options.

This app doesn’t work. All it is is a colored map of the various tribes. The resources tab won’t open. All you can do is turn the colors on or off. I was really looking for information to learn more about the indigenous peoples of North America. This isn’t it.

The app is lovely but most of the features are unusable outside of the treaties and colors buttons.
