User Reviews

Users praise the app for its simplicity and strong grammar checks, especially for professional emails. However, many reviews report reliability problems: crashes after iOS updates and during use, plus rephrase-related crashes. Billing and subscription issues (loss of subscription, being charged) and challenges contacting support are common. There is also confusion over pricing and free trial options. Overall, the app has clear value when working, but persistent stability, pricing, and support problems heavily color user sentiment.
Pros
  • Easy to use / simple interface
  • Accurate grammar and spelling checks
  • Helpful for drafting professional emails

  • Generally an amazing tool to have
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and not working after iOS updates / compatibility issues
  • Rephrase feature often crashes or exits the app
  • Billing and subscription issues (lost or not recognized after device changes, charged for a year) / pricing confusion
  • Poor or hard-to-reach customer support
  • Pricing/free-trial confusion / in-app purchases misrepresented

Why though?… Yes, Apple's predatory approach to "customer service" is downright ruthless. I used this app with its 7-day free trial, which I needed for a week, and then unsubscribed, deleted it and I didn't require it again until today. That free trial and my initial use were nearly three years ago. Since Apple tends to keep their customers in the dark and withhold information whenever possible, no problem. If you don't ask questions, Apple won't volunteer any details or care whether you know them. All they want is a valid card on file, and in exchange, they'll let you access their App Store. Bish, I purchase your products once or twice yearly, which should suffice for myself or everyone to receive free apps with a new purchased iphone, iPad, iWatch, MacBook, or any Apple item acquired within the year of that new purchase. Where’s the gratitude for customers? Nothing? Right, there is no money in Americans being healthy so keeping them sick to big Pharma (apple) is the only option. Apple continuously sends out payment reminders yet deliberately withholds any or, if possible, all "vital details," such as: 1. A catalog of apps I’ve previously purchased. 2. A heads-up regarding the apps I already own, akin to the notifications that keep charging my debit card repeatedly (12 times in one day for two consecutive days) or any card associated with my account. 3. That relentless prompt pestering me for reviews before I've even had a chance to explore the muthaflagship app, refusing to vanish until I reluctantly give it a one-star rating. 4. Because I’m shelling out money for this app just to access my account for a new subscription of a simpler, free application that outshines this one in every way. Now I'm forking over $30 just to jot down these thoughts. 5. Because I spotted a seven-day trial, completely forgot I’d already used this app, resulting in a big fat Nope! No seven-day pass for me. And, as you might predict, I was charged right away.
