User Reviews

Users value ServiceCore for managing drivers and office staff and for its niche applicability to septic/grease service operations. However, repeated complaints focus on offline access and data syncing gaps, unstable logins, mapping inaccuracies, photo-upload failures, and general stability issues, highlighting a need for offline support, reliable authentication, accurate routing, robust media handling, and improved overall stability.
Pros
  • Helps manage drivers and office staff, improving day-to-day operations.
  • Positive sentiment for field-service teams, with praise for being the go-to tool for drivers and office staff.
  • Valuable for running a septic/grease service business due to its domain relevance.
Cons
  • Offline data access and syncing are inadequate; the app requires cell service and lacks reliable local storage to function in low/no-coverage areas.
  • Frequent random logouts and session instability disrupt workflow.
  • Mapping/directions are inaccurate or unreliable, leading to wrong locations or routing issues.
  • Photo attachment/upload failures risk losing pictures and signatures, harming job records.
  • Occasional crashes or white/black screen issues hinder usability and performance.

As someone who uses this app 50-60 hours per week I can say it is mostly sufficient. There are two things I would change that will greatly improve the user experience and functionality of the app. First, allow the app to store route data locally to the device so it is not dependent on having cell service to complete a stop. People use this app in very rural areas where cell service is a commodity. Don’t rely on connecting to your network to take photos, load stop data, etc. At the beginning of the work day all of this information should be downloaded to the phone to allow functionality in low/no service areas. And when photos are taken with the app in these areas they should be quickly stored internally and then uploaded once service is available. Second, and less important, keep the ‘Take Photo’ button at the top of the list of attached photos. We don’t want to try to click it only for it to move off the bottom of the screen causing a misclick on a photo which opens an external browser and makes us wait for the app to reload data when we return to it.
