User Reviews

Despite strong course content, the Cybrary iOS app is hampered by persistent authentication and stability issues, poor playback features, and limited sign-in options, creating a frustrating on-the-go learning experience. Repeated logins, logouts, and crashes block access to solid IT/Security material, with iPad/landscape constraints further diminishing usability.
Pros
  • High-quality, valuable course content across IT and security topics.
  • Content is consistently described as good or decent by reviewers.
  • The app is intended to enable on-the-go learning for Cybrary content (potential benefit when it works).
Cons
  • Frequent login/authentication problems and session timeouts, including reliance on email magic-link sign-in.
  • Frequent app instability: crashes and being logged out, with issues enrolling or accessing content.
  • Poor mobile video playback: buffering, long videos that won’t play, no background playback, and no playback speed or autoplay next.
  • Limited sign-in options and lack of social or SSO login; often requires desktop login or email link.
  • UX and device limitations on iPad/iPhone: portrait-only mode, landscape issues, and other platform constraints.

I would be happy to stay for the content but the video freezes make this an essentially unusable product.
