User Reviews

Kubik offers fun, addictive 3D Tetris-like gameplay with strong visuals and varied environments, but suffers from input and performance issues: unresponsive controls, lag, music bugs, and rough UI. Addressing these would unlock its full potential while keeping its engaging, brain-challenging core.
Pros
  • Addictive and engaging 3D block gameplay inspired by Tetris
  • Nice visuals with colorful 3D graphics and appealing design
  • Interesting concept with different environments adding variety
  • Challenging but approachable difficulty that ramps up over time
  • Longer, more replayable play sessions compared to similar quick games
Cons
  • Controls are inconsistent and overly sensitive, causing misdrops or wrong rotations
  • Lag and performance issues during play
  • Music/audio bugs, including difficulty disabling music or unwanted Muzak
  • Poor UI/UX and navigation, including hard planet selection and unclear piece previews

This game is very fun to play, a nice little tetris-esque thing that’s also pretty to look at However, it’s frustrating when I’m trying to tap to send a block down and it rotates the stage instead, or when I want to rotate in a certain direction but it goes in the opposite direction

There was a game in 2011 called Tetra3D that I used to play all the time. It was the same as Tetris, wherein you could move the block anywhere on the board by turning the board one turn (as you can with this game) but you could also move the placement of the block (in Kubik, if a block is going to land in the middle, no matter how you rotate it, it will land on the middle of whatever side it ends up on). Further in Tetra3D you could rotate the block along the x, y, and z axes. The game stopped working a long time ago and hasn’t been updated in years, in fact I can no longer find it in the App Store. Kubik is the closest game I have found to my former favorite game, but as it is now missing the ability to move the blocks as freely as I expect has made the game frustrating and not fun. If possible I would love more ability to rotate and flip blocks, and to move the location of the falling blocks rather than just being able to rotate the base that they are falling onto. Thanks!

After you get them all it’s kind of pointless and all the diamonds just rack up and i have nothing to do with them. All in all it’s a fun game, but would love some new planets
