User Reviews

KnitsThatFit Sweaters is a powerful, feature-rich pattern designer for knitters, with superb pattern charting, detailed schematics, and a note field that supports custom sizing and garment shaping. Many users praise its long-term usefulness and responsive support. But reviews repeatedly note crashes and instability that make it hard to use. Pricing is a major issue, with heavy upsell to premium and claims that paid features don’t always unlock. Refund difficulties and concerns about gauge math affecting fit also recur, leaving users with a tool that works in theory but unreliable in practice.
Pros
  • Powerful, flexible pattern generation and fit with wide size and measurement options (babies to adults).
  • Excellent pattern charting, schematics, and a useful note field for recording design ideas.
  • Responsive developer support that fixes issues quickly and even provides updated PDFs when needed.
  • Free trial available to explore features before purchasing.
  • Trusted, long-running tool respected by knitters for its feature set and versatility.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability; the app closes or freezes when opening patterns or saving work.
  • Pricing and upsell gating; premium features are expensive and often feel required to use the app fully.
  • Premium upgrades sometimes don’t unlock expected features, leading to frustration and wasted money.
  • Refund difficulties or requests not resolved promptly.
  • Gauge math/sizing can be off, leading to questionable fit or accuracy.

Remove app I am unable to navigate and would like a refund. I purchased the upgrade thinking it would help my understanding but it didn’t. Please. I’m so confused. Thank you

I would give zero stars if I could. First of all, the app told me I need 401 yards of yarn for a men’s sweater. Then it told me to cast on 24 stitches for the back. The free trial did not give me enough information for me to know whether it would suit my needs, so I downloaded the paid version and this is what I got. $14.99 down the drain. 🤬

Impossible to use: the app keeps crashing every time I try to open it. And apparently I can’t ask for a refund. Not happy at all…
