User Reviews

Discourse Hub is valued as a central hub with cross-forum notifications, but reviewers repeatedly describe it as a web-view wrapper rather than a native app. Core issues include flaky logins, update-induced instability, and performance glitches, along with missing native features such as tabs. It’s useful for consolidating sites, but stability and UX improvements are needed.
Pros
  • Central hub for managing multiple Discourse sites in one app
  • Push notifications across forums
  • Simple, straightforward interface
  • Supports multiple accounts across forums
Cons
  • Not a native app; essentially a web viewer that opens Safari/WebView
  • Login persistence issues; frequently not staying logged in or requiring repeated logins
  • Updates cause instability, crashes, or removal of features
  • Performance/UX issues like slow loads on some networks and occasional blank/white screens
  • Lacks essential native features (no tabs, limited in-app navigation)

I have the app in dark mode. But when I to go back to my feed after trading a thread, I get a full white page that blinds me in the dark before it goes back. Also, in my home network, where I have tracking protection enabled , loading of threads is very slow. Lastly, I can no longer edit and write posts in iOS 26.1. Selection and buttons are not in the same place as they are shown on the screen.

Update: since the release today, 4Oct2025, it works again. Wasn’t working at all for about a week. This has been working reasonably well up until 26.0.1 & this release came out. It opens and then freezes. Does nothing, have to force quit.

APP occupies more and more storage space; how to deal with the accumulated cache space?
