VesselView Mobile lets Mercury Marine SmartCraft engine owners view live engine data, track fuel usage, view fault details, and receive maintenance reminders. When paired with the Bluetooth Low Energy VesselView Mobile module, the app delivers full functionality and a web-based account.

Without the module, you still get a speedometer, a map with Points of Interest, Moments tagging with location, and more. Note that the app collects precise geolocation and GPS usage can impact battery life; using GPS in the background is energy-intensive. For best results, use the module for full capabilities.

However, users repeatedly report stability issues (Bluetooth disconnects and iOS 18 problems), limited engine data (no fuel reads, few advanced metrics), and a clunky UI with little guidance. Dealer points you to the new app, and this app is decent and much better than the new one. It’s as though Mercury can’t have one app to manage for the consumer. As many engines this company has out here, it’s frustrating to have an unreliable app to use. 2 apps with no direction as a company. Would be nice to have the features in this app combined into the new app, and make the new one faster. It’s so slow. It’s as though it’s not loading on device and causes the lagging delay instead of loading in the background and just showing the app in a usable state.

I have a iPhone XR and it all of a sudden would not connect at all but with other phones it would not have any problems. I had to install an app called light blue and connect to it through that app and it started to work as normal again 👍. App itself has been great
