Astrospheric provides advanced weather tools for professional astronomers and astrophotographers, including hour-by-hour forecasts up to 84 hours, sky and ground conditions, and real-time event alerts. It also supports hundreds of astronomical societies with collaboration tools for members.

Key features include ensemble cloud forecasts with hourly updates (Pro), Kp index for aurora viewing, ISS flyover paths, and precise rise/set times for sun and moon. Astrospheric also integrates the smoke forecast into the transparency report and offers site mode for quick GOTO tracking setup, even offline. Note: Weather data is not available for Hawaii due to domain coverage, but other layers remain available. Pro subscriptions unlock extended forecasts, alerts, and team features for societies and individual observers.

The app used to be great.. then it just stopped working. Even after updating it fails to give a forecast. Just a notice saying “network error”. Too bad.. I used the app frequently for about two years. Now it’s useless

I LOVE this app. It’s been a godsend for astrophotography and helping identify good seeing for my location. That is very beneficial when determining if I want to shoot in Ha, for better detail, or if Oiii is the play tonight since the seeing is a bit worse. The accuracy astonishes me… why can’t all weather reports get this precise! Really one of the best values I’ve found.
