Users find CHA 311 helpful for reporting city issues and in some cases bin requests are processed quickly, but the app is plagued by instability and data entry problems. Repeated crashes, address validation failures, and photo upload issues impede submissions. Reports can also be marked complete without real action and with little follow up. Branding mix ups and compatibility issues with older iOS versions add to frustration. Overall the app is usable in parts but unreliable and needs significant fixes.

Useful tool for reporting issues to the city such as potholes road markings and streetlight outages.
In some cases requests are fulfilled quickly such as trash bin delivery the next day.
Generally usable and helpful for curbside trash and recycling reporting.

Cons

Frequent crashes and launch or submit failures on iOS.
Address input and validation often fail with errors like enter a valid address or city addresses not accepted.
Photo upload or attachment problems prevent including pictures with reports.
Requests marked as complete without actual work and poor follow up from city staff.
Branding and city labeling issues such as app referring to another city or wrong city icon.

This app is very handy when reporting issues. It can be a little clunky but for the most part it gets the job done! 👍🏻 I use it to pinpoint issues like potholes, faded road markings, streetlight outages, etc. The only real complaint is Chattanooga DOT fixing the problems properly the first time, as they have seemed to cut corners through many of the requests I sent in… Other than that, this is one of my go-to reporting apps!

This app wants you to input your Google password into it if you're signing in with a Google account. If you try to get around this by signing up again with an existing email account and clicking "forgot password," you will receive a password reset link that is already expired/invalid.

App is awful. It does not work. You cannot upload photos at all. I routinely type in a specific address that then the app changes??? It never functions. It’s insane how ineffective this app is. I hope they didn’t pay someone to build this
