User Reviews

The app provides valuable liturgical content in a simple, accessible format, with a convenient overview of readings and saints. However, widespread concerns center on intrusive advertising, data inaccuracies in saints and dates, and grammar/readability problems. Some users also report navigation and device compatibility issues. Addressing ad experience, bolstering data accuracy, improving proofreading, and refining UI across devices would likely raise overall user satisfaction.
Pros
  • Rich liturgical content: daily mass readings, saint of the day, feast days and church calendar.
  • Simple, straightforward design that is easy to use.
  • Useful overview with drill-down: multiple elements (Gospel, liturgical season and week, saint of the day) on one screen with detailed info available.
  • Free to use, with ads rather than upsell; accessible to all without purchase requirements.
Cons
  • Intrusive ads that cover content and distract from readings.
  • Inaccuracies in saints information and feast-day dates; misattributions and incorrect dates.
  • Grammar, spelling, and readability issues in the Saint of the Day text.
  • Navigation and stability issues on some devices (e.g., iPad, iPhone X) and occasional UI glitches.

I love this app so I can read the daily mass readings, as well as the information about the saint of the day. However, there are many misspellings, typographical errors, grammatical and sentence structure errors in the “saint of the day” section. Someone really needs to be proofreading before publishing...

I like the app, but it seems that some of the saints facts are mixed with the wrong person-Like St. Therese and others. I like this new version though I have never seen this new version before-the older version I didn’t mind, but it seems that these people are mixed up with the wrong person

I have enjoyed this app for a long time. I noticed that this week after Ash Wednesday the Thursday-Saturday are titled wrong. Technically they are called Thursday of Ash Wednesday, Friday of Ash Wednesday, and Saturday of Ash Wednesday. The days following the Sunday are of that week. Such as the 1st Week of Lent, 2nd Week of Lent, and so on. If in doubt just look at the USCCB and/or Vatican websites. They are also listed correctly in the Liturgy of the Hours prayer books. Thank you for your help in being the lantern that God wants to use to shine His light!
