User Reviews

Users praise engaging stories, detective gameplay, and likable characters across the Criminal Case franchise. Recurrent issues center on Facebook login dependence and progress loss, across-device save problems, excessive ads, energy-based pacing, and a desire for more standalone, cross‑platform features (Apple ID/Game Center, solo play, item transfers). Overall, strong gameplay hampered by account, monetization, and platform-compatibility frustrations.
Pros
  • Engaging stories and detective gameplay that keeps players hooked.
  • Lovable cast of characters and high-quality character art within the Criminal Case universe.
  • Franchise cohesion: the Pacific Bay game fits well with the original and other Criminal Case titles.
  • Relaxing, immersive gameplay that many players find enjoyable and a good distraction.
Cons
  • Heavy reliance on Facebook for login and progress, with frequent login errors and account-disconnect issues.
  • Progress does not transfer smoothly across devices; lacking Apple ID/Game Center options to save or restore progress.
  • Ad frequency is high and intrusive, interrupting gameplay and making monetization feel aggressive.
  • Energy gating and long waits between cases slow progression (e.g., 24‑hour delays) and can be frustrating.
  • Limited solo play and Facebook-centric features; requests for more standalone, cross-platform functionality and item transfers from other Criminal Case games.

I love the game, but I genuinely do not like the fact that there is a ad after every little thing that I do such as getting a star from one of the crime scenes or just making progress on one of the crime scene scenes and then I also don’t like the fact that we have to use a star for almost every little thing because I feel like personally if I already had to use a star to talk to a certain suspect, I should be able to talk to that suspect without using a star every other time after that, and then another thing that can kind of irritate me is the weight when it comes to getting something examined but other than that, the game is really good and I like the fact that they give us the opportunity to watch a ad if we want more coins or if we need more energy still a really great game though

Why is it when I check the photo album that some pictures are there one day and they’re gone another day
