User Reviews

Users consistently report Eclipse View crashes on startup after recent updates, making the app unusable for monitoring cameras. The crashes occur across devices, with many stating they must uninstall and reinstall and then re-enter credentials to regain access. Some users recall it was reliable and even great when it worked, having used it for years, but updates have degraded stability. There is concern about insufficient support from the company. Core issues include regression from updates, iOS 18 compatibility problems, and the app failing to load or stay open, preventing remote security monitoring.
Pros
  • Previously stable and usable for years
  • Enables remote viewing of Eclipse View cameras
  • Performs well when it is functioning
  • Long-running app used for security camera management
Cons
  • App crashes on startup after recent updates across multiple devices
  • Post-update instability requiring uninstall/reinstall and re-login to regain access
  • Inability to access cameras due to crashes, hindering remote monitoring
  • Perceived lack of timely support or responsiveness from the company
  • Regression/quality issues with updates (e.g., iOS 18) that break functionality

App crashes on multiple devices with the newest version Overall decent app.

When it worked it was great. Now every time I open the app it crashes and closes down right away. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, the app still crashes. This is a problem as this is supposed to be security. What good are the cameras when you can’t check your property while being away from it through the app?

I’ve been using this app for almost four years and it was decent. For the last few weeks it has not worked at all. I don’t know if the company went out of business but it doesn’t appear to be supported by anyone. When I attempt to open it, the app crashes after a couple seconds.
