User Reviews

Overall, users praise MultiSudoku: Samurai Sudoku for its broad variety of grids and levels, strong brain‑challenging gameplay, no ads, and helpful features like restart and pencil/permanent modes. However, multiple reviews note display problems after the latest update (zooming can misfit the board and blur numbers on high‑end devices) and frustration with a small puzzle library (96 puzzles plus a weekly one) and delayed/new content, with some hard puzzles requiring occasional guessing. It’s engaging and deep but would benefit from more fresh puzzles and a fix for the display issues.
Pros
  • Wide variety of grids and levels, including multiple grids beyond the classic five and easy/medium/hard options (plus weekly puzzles).
  • Highly challenging and addictive; great brain-boost and keeps you thinking.
  • No ads and smooth, polished gameplay.
  • Helpful solving features: restart to clear mistakes, and pencil vs permanent mode; also 8-square puzzles.
  • Good value with purchasable puzzle packs; long-term engagement.
Cons
  • Display issues after updates: zooming can make the board not fit the screen and numbers can blur on high-end devices.
  • Puzzle library feels limited: only 96 puzzles plus a weekly puzzle; access to more puzzles often relies on paid packs.
  • Puzzles aren’t updated frequently; desire for more new content to stay engaged.
  • Very hard puzzles can require occasional guessing near the end, reducing satisfaction.

Patterns are very challenging. Much better than the standard SUDOKU. Assistant feature is great

I have been playing sudokus for twenty years. My daughter found a Conceptus book of puzzles in an airplane book store, and as they say “the rest is history!”. We used to xerox copies of puzzles that we purchased from Conceptus on line to take with us on trips. We were so happy when the iPad app became available. We have tried Sudoku puzzles from other venders, they are not as clever as Conceptus. I can’t understand the negative reviews. Conceptus gives you 30 free puzzles and you can re-do them. My wife & I play all the different types of Sudoku puzzles offered and all levels. Our favorites are the MultiSudoku and the SumSudoku puzzles.
