Tag is junk and saves zero time. If you want to have it work correctly, you’ll want to Book your round trip as two one ways. It will pull your flight out but not back. You can delete the app, the airline app, reset, update tag and you’ll only get your outbound flight and cannot update the tag until the first flight is removed. It’s absolute stupidity that it says “congrats your tag is ready to go” and sends you an email with the same tag you flew out on and even has the date of that flight to drop off and skip the lines. Seems like a simple fix would be to code it to not pull a tag in for a flight date that is earlier than today’s date, but nope you get to find a delorian to go back in time and check it. This caused a lost bag last trip when asking the agent about it and they said it’s no problem I’m scanning it here and you’re good. You are until you are not and you land 3k miles away and the bag is nowhere to be found and ends up in another airport across the country.

Arrived at Hawaiian Airlines bag drop and they didn’t know how to scan the tag. I should have known this would be a problem. Noticed that the BAGTAG numbers were no longer showing up on the app so I went to the airline counter and was assured that they had my bags. Arrived in Seattle at Alaska Airlines but my bags didn’t. Had to file a claim and yet to find out if my bags will turn up. The tags, which were supposed to save time during check in, instead added hours in customer service line for baggage services.
