ProPresenter Stage provides a convenient way to view the ProPresenter stage display from anywhere on the local network.

You can select any of the stage layouts that have been created in ProPresenter or follow the layout that is active in ProPresenter. The view updates as close to real-time as your network allows. We recommend using a closed network to guarantee the best experience.

Supports using Apple's HDMI adapter with iPadOS and iOS to view the layouts on an external display.

Minimum Requirements: Mac: ProPresenter 6.1+ PC: ProPresenter 6.0.3.7+

Planning Center Live display elements are currently not supported.

ProPresenter Stage on Apple devices is plagued by reliability and compatibility problems. While some users enjoy near-instant slide updates and use the app as a convenient mobile stage display to monitor lyrics, the majority report connectivity drops, crashes, lag, and poor support. PP7 compatibility is a recurring hurdle, with updates slow or lacking and key features failing (images/videos, multi-display layouts). For larger setups or dynamic stages, the app currently struggles with feature parity and stability, though it can be useful for simple, single-display use cases.

Pros

Instant slide changes when connected (quick updates).
Useful as a mobile stage display / confidence monitor, allowing viewing on iPhone/iPad and display to TVs.
Output can mirror the ProPresenter stage on external displays, sometimes looking identical to the stage display.
Easy initial setup and can work well once configured for simple use.

Cons

Frequent connectivity problems: won’t connect, drops connection, or takes a long time to connect.
Crashes, bugs, lag, and login issues degrade reliability.
Compatibility issues with ProPresenter 7 (PP7) and slow/unclear updates for support and fixes.
Content display limitations: cannot show images or videos (only text in many cases); video previews often do not work; screens can stay black.

The app stopped working on Apple TV

Unlike others reviews, I had no issue connecting the iPad to our pro 7 setup. The slides changes are almost instant. Now my complaints are that it will not show images or videos, only text. I want the talent on stage to be able to see the videos as they play to know when to come back. Yes there is a countdown which helps, but visual is so much better. Okay maybe they can’t do video, but why not images? I want them to know exactly what the slide looks like! The lack of support is so bad. Over 3+ years since any updates or fixes. This is the same with their control app. Get it together Renewed Vision. We pay decent amount of money for an app that gets no updates. Might as well make it free if you aren’t gonna take that money and reinvest it in the app.
