User Reviews

Pocket Boxing is praised for its nostalgic Punch-Out vibe, responsive controls, and arcade-like visuals, making it a fun mobile homage. However, it suffers from stability and balance problems—crashes around the Rasta King boss, progress not saving between sessions, and overpowered or unbalanced fighters. Some reviews also voice copyright/licensing concerns about stolen sprites and likenesses. Overall, it captures the Punch-Out feel but needs fixes to stability and balance for smoother progression.
Pros
  • Nostalgic Punch-Out vibe on mobile that captures the arcade feel.
  • Fun and engaging with solid controls.
  • Great graphics that resemble classic arcade boxing.
  • Easy to pick up and great for passing time.
Cons
  • Crashes/freezes around the Rasta King boss and other moments, with reports of the app shutting down.
  • Progress/save issues: exiting during sessions can require starting over instead of resuming.
  • Balance/difficulty problems: some fighters are overpowered or effectively unbeatable (e.g., Kim Z, Rasta King).
  • Copyright/licensing concerns: users note ripped sprites and likenesses to Punch-Out characters and Rocky.

This is the worst game in the world it’s stole sprites from characters of punch out but they changed the design, however the difficulty is so bad I cannot even dodge and what’s even worse is that you have to start the whole circuit or feed money addiction
