Our listeners can tune in 24 hours a day for news and information from NPR, PRI, the BBC and our own newsroom. Staples like Morning Edition and All Things Considered from National Public Radio, plus programs like The World from Public Radio International and BBC News Hour bring global perspectives, and award-winning local news from KUT's reporters, are all in the palm of your hand. Download, tune in, and listen wherever you may be.

In this new version you can read KUT news stories from within the app, as well as top stories from NPR and the Texas Standard. You can now also receive important news alerts and notifications from the KUT newsroom--we promise not to spam you with too many messages, we'll just alert you when there's important information to share with our audience. You can always opt to turn this off! We've also included access to many of our podcasts episodes. Once you've found your new favorite, just subscribe to it on your preferred podcast app.

The KUT app provides an all digital, efficient stream using the AAC+ codec. It sounds great on all platforms, devices, radios and over cellular. You can of course listen to KUT when you're traveling outside of Austin, and even the country, to stay connected to home. Tap in some headphones or plug your phone and have a listen!

Have to re-install every couple of weeks. I love KUT but hate this App

I listen to KUT religiously, so I depend on using this app when I’m walking around the neighborhood or even around the house. My biggest complaints are around the commercials—yes, commercials—that I must listen to when I start up the app before it will connect to the broadcast. If I lose connection, the commercials come back on before re-connecting to the broadcast. Super annoying. I don’t know if it’s the app or my connection. I tolerate it because it’s the main way to listen to KUT besides the good ole radio.
