User Reviews

Users generally praise the app for being easy to use, stable, and efficient for viewing and annotating PDFs, with strong multi-document support and a solid free plan. However, repeated issues include crashes and freezes, especially with large PDFs or after OS updates; high memory use and choppy scrolling; incomplete sharing/export features (export/sharing and OneDrive syncing); annotation problems such as deleted highlights and Apple Pencil mode regressions; and several requested UI enhancements like a left sidebar for TOC/thumbnails and better cross-platform parity. Overall: solid tool marred by reliability and feature gaps.
Pros
  • Easy to use and generally smooth/stable for everyday viewing and annotation
  • Can open and work with multiple PDFs at once with a clean, top-toolbar UI
  • Strong free plan with robust annotation features and good value
  • Helpful for studying and writing on PDFs across subjects
  • Reliable day-to-day performance for many users
Cons
  • Crashes and freezes, especially with large PDFs or after OS updates, impacting usability
  • High memory usage and choppy scrolling; limited zoom and page resizing options
  • Incomplete sharing/export features (no straightforward forwarding; OneDrive syncing issues)
  • Annotation regressions (highlights/annotations can be deleted; Apple Pencil text selection issues; tool grouping makes switching tedious)
  • UI/UX gaps and parity concerns (missing left sidebar for TOC/thumbnails; some platform parity issues like MacOS smart zoom)

Welp, I wasn’t able to easily figure out how to fill out a pdf. This should pop up when you put your finger on a text box. I should have to decipher a bunch of symbols to make me be able to do that. I detest PDFs with all my heart and wish that somebody would make a replacement. It is pathetic we have to deal with this ghetto technology in 2026 A.D. And I will never pay to rent a tool like this. It should be a one time payment. If there is a major update, sure, I’ll pay for that. But the idea that you get paid forever for something like this? No way.
