User Reviews

The reviews are mixed, with many criticizing monetization and accessibility while a few praise the concept and nostalgia for LEGO Star Wars. The most recurring issues are paywalls to access content, lack of iOS controller support, and frustrating controls/camera, often accompanied by lag or crashes. A small number of users still enjoy the idea and some modes, but the pay-to-play model and usability problems dominate sentiment.
Pros
  • Nostalgia and potential appeal for LEGO Star Wars fans.
  • Some players find the game fun and enjoyable.
  • Offers diverse modes/content (e.g., Freemaker mode, Prequels mode) that broaden gameplay.
Cons
  • Heavy monetization: pay-to-unlock the full game / paywalls make most content inaccessible without purchase (perceived as expensive).
  • Lack of controller support on iOS, especially for a game ported from consoles.
  • Clunky controls and camera issues: controls feel overcomplicated and movement/camera are hard to manage.
  • Performance problems: lag and occasional crashes disrupt gameplay.
  • Limited free content: only the initial levels are free, with rest locked behind purchases.

Garbage port, controller support never worked and in 9 years it still doesn’t. Devs say that most iOS games don’t but the complete saga has had controller support since release and they could implement it when the market was way less lucrative.

The controls of this game make it no fun to play because everything is just too much effort to control. It’s not fun to play and it’s just way over complicated. The original Lego Star Wars games were simple and fun to play. This game takes the fun out of being a Lego Star Wars fan.
